Maybe we invented social media networking because we could not get regular “Networking” right face to face. For a network to work correctly, it should be built on relationships with our friends and colleagues. This is easy to fake in person but not so easy on Twitter and Facebook. To have a successful Social Media Network you must be authentic and offer meaningful information.
I recently read an incredible new book by Shama Hyder, Zen of Social Media. I love her explaination of the philosophy behind this phenomina tbecause it is so much like mine, there has to be a great product or service and a genuine interest in building relationships. I highly recomend it. To order the book.
