Hi, my name is Lauren McMullen and I am a certified Internet and Social Media Marketing Virtual Assistant (VA). I specialize in helping my clients set up and optimize their accounts in all the Social Media Sites such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and You Tube etc.

Then I help them develop a Social Media Marketing plan so they can implement a strategy for joining the conversations online and building relationships. Many of my clients also hire me to help with some of the day to day tasks associated with the marketing plan although I never recommend that you outsource the actual conversation aspect of Social Media. The number one principle of Social Media is relationship building through authentic, valuable, and relevant conversations. If you outsource your voice what does that say about you?

If you have never heard of VA’s before you are not alone so don’t worry. Virtual Assistants or VAs for short are entrepreneurs (just like you) who provide professional assistance to clients virtually (remotely) from their home office.  The list of services they provide is endless such as administrative, accounting, blog design, or like me Social Media services. Common modes of communication include the Internet, email; cell phones and phone conferencing, online work spaces, and fax machines.

You will find that in today’s marketplace, most VAs specializes. This is really works to your advantage because there are so many different aspects to the Internet no one person could be proficient in all of them. You need someone who is a specialist in their chosen field instead of a jack of all trades. 

You will find that I am passionate about Social Media! My family was actually shocked when I told them I was going to specialize in anything that had the word marketing attached to it because they all know how much I hate traditional sales. While I provide a service that my customers buy I don’t actually sell it to them.  I first develop a relationship with people and provide them with valuable, relevant information. Hopefully they learn to know, like and trust what I do and then those that honestly like my products or services will naturally want to do business with me.

You will find I love to learn so I am constantly searching for new tools and processes to simplify my client’s lives. The web 2.0 world is moving at the speed of lightning on steroids so it is always important to be ready to try out something new.
